The session lasts about 15 minutes and you will have the opportunity to preview and order any images that you would like to buy immediately following the session.

We have two new scenes to introduce. The first is called Bath Time.

The second scene is called Cereal Time.  Most kids gravitate toward Cheerios.  We wanted a way to capture that.  Our super spoon is the answer.  It really is that big. (Fun fact 1 out of every 9 boxes of cereal sold in the USA is a box of plain ole Cheerios.)

The main thing to remember when planning your session is to call us and let us advise you what scene that we have would work best for your child.  Not just those that are age appropriate, but are safe.  A child needs to be on the brink of crawling to do Cereal Time.

August is getting very full so sessions that can be done before school are getting scarce.

Do some of the images take on a similar quality?  Yes.  Especially when it comes to the part of the session for the traditional images.  But when we design your senior picture look, we constantly work to come up with a different look and expression that defines you.

For those of you who know, the sessions that we do, most of what is shown here on the website is unique either to the studio or our special location nearby.  The third image here is an exception. Although, I would love to have a window that big here at that studio, we did go to a location to get this image.  Location is an option that you can add for free to any session.

So what should you be thinking about as your prepare for your session?

We want you thinking not 0nly about what school activities you are involved in (sports, music, plays, singing groups, academics, etc.) but think about who you are outside of the classroom.  What is inspiring to you?  Do you enjoy cars, hunting, dance, shopping, etc.?  All of these are awesome things that can create something special in your images.

What time of year is hardest to get sessions?

You can see that late summer and late fall are REALLY challenging to get great sessions.  There are some WEEKS that are already taken.

Should you try to time your sessions and book late?

No. We only suggest timing your sessions if there are things like braces going on or coming off or if you are going on vacation and want to avoid looking too tan in your photos.

Trying to time pictures for fall colors or snow is very difficult.  One exception.  If there is a heavy snow, call us we are available.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Are Keepsake and KP Xpress two separate studios?

• No.  Both are located at 2119 Northridge road (here).  These are just two names that we use to separate the kind of experience that our clients would like.

Is there any be any difference in the quality of my portraits?

• You should expect high quality professional portraits that have been retouched to perfection with either Keepsake Portraits and KP Xpress.  The only difference is how the session are set up.

I am having trouble deciding

• Make sure that you check the pages on Keepsake and KP Xpress to see which one fits your needs best.
• Give us a call.  We help hundreds of seniors every year get just the right session for their needs.

The other site was nice, but the lack of color was driving me crazy. So we revamped. We hope you like it and find it much easier to use. Feel free to send us comments on what you think.

We find that most seniors are using the site to plan their pictures at Keepsake Portraits. The are inspired by what they see here.  Many seniors bring ideas to try.  We love the input and the involvement.  Summer is senior portrait time and sessions in August are already booking and one week is completely filled.  The best times are certain to go quickly.

Congratulations

I just wanted to take a moment to congratulate all our graduates.  We have had the privilege of being the photographer to so many seniors for so many schools, it would be difficult to list all of them.  I was able to get to Leipsic High School’s graduation along with Heritage Christian School’s. I know that Ottawa Glandorf’s is coming up as well as Findlay High School, but unfortunately we will be traveling during those graduations.  All the best to you all in the future and it has been a joy being your photographer.
